The Methodist Church at Baildon

The Methodist Church from Binswell Fold

There has been a Methodist society in Baildon since the early days of the denomination with its roots in the preaching of John Wesley who first came to Baildon in 1748. Since then the church has seen many changes but there is still a thriving community at the chapel on Newton Way. Not only is there a good congregation but many other groups use the church buildings during the week.

Baildon Methodist Church has been my (Rosemary's) home church on and off for 15 years, and as a family there are many links to the community there. Links extending both within the church membership and the wider community given Mum's, my sister Naomi's & my links to GirlGuiding at the church. There was never any real choice about where I wanted to get married even after my parents inconveniently decided to move to the Isle of Wight....

The service will be at 2.30pm with coffee being served afterwards in Wesleys while some photgraphs are taken before the light goes. Other than us hopefully few people will have to stand around outside, except if they choose to. The service will be open to all friends and family whether they have been invited to the main reception or the evening reception or indeed just want to join in our special day. We want to celebrate our love with all our family and friends.
